make me glad to be a subscriber to Free Press. The heart of the problem for 21st-century culture is to keep the integrity and courage prized by the Crow, keep the precision and engineering made possible by science and technology, keep the long life and health we enjoy from modern medicine, keep the instant voice and knowledge we love from the internet, and put the nanny state back into Pandora’s box.

The first step to solving any problem is to recognize the nature of the problem. In my opinion, every problem is solvable or resolvable. Think bigger, dig deeper. We are not going to be done thinking until the problem is fixed.

Humanity has been working on this problem since the Jews were slaves in Egypt, Christ was on the cross, and the United States declared itself in 1776.

The din we hear is enough to wake the dead. When the noise gets deafening, we’ll know we’re getting close.
