The Press Conference from Hell

People have been warning for years that the USA, our grand experiment in liberty, inherited from our Founding Fathers, was in jeopardy. Now the evidence is clear.

Americans voted for Trump by a wide margin. The events of the press conference yesterday, February 28th, were a shock. President Zelensky, the elected leader of Ukraine was bullied by Vice President JD Vance, who then charged Zelensky with disrespecting Trump.

Trump took the bait, as if Zelensky had delivered the insult and not Vance.

So it now appears that instead of electing a new Superman to save our democracy, Americans elected that Batman icon, the Joker.

I stand with Ukraine because Putin is a brutal dictator. Putin invaded Ukraine. Putin started the war in Ukraine in 2014 when Trump was in office. Trump did nothing, repeat nothing.

In 2022, the people of the Baltic were worried about Russia taking Ukraine and the rest of the Baltic. They were hoping for a Trump election. They got their wish, and it proved the adage, be careful what you wish for.

I hope I’m wrong reading my tea leaves. Here’s what I see: Putin gobbles up Ukraine. Trump buys rare earths from Putin. Putin does not stop with Ukraine. Putin wants every country on his border from the Black Sea to the Baltic. If Putin gets Ukraine with no security guarantees, he will then gobble up the rest. And there is a question even if Zelensky gets guarantees: will Trump respect them when Putin violates them? Or will he give Putin a pass because because Zelensky was rude?

Europeans wanted Trump to win. Americans wanted Trump to win.

Trump is betraying the world‘s expectations of his strength and courage as a president. Instead of facing down a killer, Trump is putting that killer, Putin, on a pedestal for us to idolize, in addition to idolizing Trump.

Trump will brag about turning Putin into a trading partner of the USA.

Freedom was struck with a lightning bolt of bad thinking. This event will be remembered as the press conference from Hell. Trump doesn’t care because he can make a deal.

News flash! Putin wants Ukraine. Putin is playing Trump. Putin is laughing. China and Iran are laughing. This is a major Trump failure.

Wake up and smell the rotten eggs of this Trump deal. And I thought the Democrats were despicable‼️

Mea culpa, I was wrong, and even Kamala Harris‘s word salads are preferable to this nonsense.

Here is my version of a happy ending. The Europeans in NATO are justifiably alarmed by this press conference. They should get together and affirm their support of Zelensky and of a free Ukraine. The worst possible outcome would be for Russia to get control of Ukraine’s rare earths. Europe can be strong enough to go it on its own.

Russia is weak and on the verge of collapse.

We see now that Trump is a flash in the pan. Hold the course. JD Vance couldn’t be elected dog catcher on his own.
